Darenda D. Marvin
Ms. Marvin, a certified land planner, represents landowners and developers in connection with obtaining entitlements from the local, regional and state government. She represents a wide variety of local, regional and national homebuilders as well developers of large master planned communities. Her expertise is concentrated in the area of procedural requirements and she advises clients on projects ranging from large residential subdivisions and mixed use planned communities to Developments of Regional Impact. She works with clients beginning with land acquisition to perform due diligence and provides guidance and advice throughout the entire development process including throughout installation of infrastructure and vertical development.
In her capacity at the firm, Ms. Marvin also provides service to clients seeking licensing from various state agencies including the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (Alcoholic Beverage Licensing, Restaurant and Hotel Licensing and Cosmetology Salon Licensing) and the Department of Health (Massage Therapy Licensing).
She oversees the firm’s planning staff which includes technicians who are instrumental in Land Development application preparation for clients as well as providing coordination for Subdivision Plats and Project Bonding and Tracking.
Ms. Marvin regularly provides expert testimony to local government boards in both legislative and quasi-judicial proceedings.
